What if your competition invests in online marketing, and you don’t? Every website visitor, lead and booked job they receive is one that arms them in their battle against your moving company. Even in a defensive posture, investing in SEO and SEM ensures your competition doesn’t get any low hanging fruit. They can grow, but we aren’t going to make it easy on them. Omar the Optimist:

Moving companies can grow when the owner is a positive optimist, who is a go-getter. As the CEO, you need to rally the troops and believe in the mission. The issue arises when optimism turns to blind hope, which borders on wishes and dreams.

Omar the Optimist doesn’t consider all the factors that go into creating the next Two Men and a Truck or All My Sons. He simply believes if he does a great job, he will get very large without having every system or marketing team in place.

His blind optimism leads to over extending financially, taking out bad loans, and simply hoping it all works out in the end.
